CALL TO ORDER
The Siouxland Chapter Board Meeting of CLMA was called to order by president, Kathy Winters, at 12:05 PM at the Orthopedic Institute Executive Conference Room in Sioux Falls, S.D. Board Members present included Mike Dott, DeeAnn Lovett, and Owen Bain. Members absent were John Kangas and Rick Pudwill.

MINUTES
Minutes were approved from the February 2007 Board Meeting.

TREASURER’S REPORT
There was no Treasurer’s Report at this time.

OLD BUSINESS

The Smart Lab will be held Thursday of the SDAHO Convention. It will start in the morning and finish after the Awards Luncheon. The CLMA Siouxland Chapter Meeting will take place Thursday afternoon. DeeAnn will contact Lea Owen regarding the display booth for the Trade Show.

 
Membership Statistics
Our current membership is 43 members. New member and renewal letters continue to be sent as members join and memberships are renewed.

CLMA Chapter Development Fund
Kathy conveyed that at the National Meeting, the Presidents were asked to consider having their chapters donate to the Development Fund. Previously the Siouxland Board had voted not to give money to the Development Fund.

NEW BUSINESS

Update from CLMA Think Lab 07
Kathy gave a short report on her attendance at the CLMA Think Lab 2007 in Houston, Texas. Twila Henning attended, also.

Change in Board Meeting Location
The CLMA Board Meetings can not be held at this location for the 2 remaining 2007 meetings. After discussions it was decided to have the September 5, 2007 Meeting at the Stevens Center: Room 1165, and the December 5, 2007 Meeting at the Sioux Falls City Lab.
(Update: Due to the 3rd Series of the Town Hall Audio Conference changed to September 6, the Board Meeting will be held that Thursday)

CLMA Booth at Spring Meeting
A booth space has been reserved for the May 2007ASCLS/CLMA Joint Meeting in Aberdeen, SD.

2008 CLMA/ASCLS Joint Meeting
The meeting has been moved from Pierre, SD to Chamberlain, SD and will be held in the Fall instead of the Spring. The first week in October has been selected for the time. This time frame will definitely affect the SDAHO Meeting held in late September each year.

SDAHO Newsletter/Competitive Bidding
There was no news at this time from the National Level regarding Competitive Bidding.

Other New Business
DeeAnn suggested that the Siouxland Chapter have a booth at the Fall Region V Meeting in Fargo, ND. The main purpose would be to promote our local chapter and try to attract new members. After discussion, it was decided that this would have to be brought up at the Chapter Meeting in May and have a vote at that time.
