Rick is currently the Laboratory Manager for the Sioux Falls Public Health Department. He is responsible for the operation of the clinical and environmental laboratories as well as radiology.

Prior to his current position, Rick worked as a laboratory consultant and satellite lab manager/Lab Director for Sanford Health Systems in Sioux Falls. He also has experience in medical/laboratory supply and equipment sales including staff training and technical assistance. Rick began his lab profession as a staff Medical Technologist at St. Luke’s Hospital in Sioux City, IA. He then became the Laboratory Supervisor at Northern Hills General Hospital in Deadwood, SD, before moving on to sales.

A graduate of the University of South Dakota, Vermillion, SD, with a BS in Medical Technology, and Rapid City Regional Hospital School of Medical Technology, Rapid City, SD, Rick has been involved the laboratory field for over 28 years.
